Welcome to the new NetSelect! Although at first glance this may look just like our text-based system, there have been a number of substantial changes. We have modified a number of old links and have added many new links to make your search for information on the Internet even easier.
There are a number of menu choices that have not been included, either because your browser has similar features, or there are no web equivalents. Notable among these are the mail options (EM, FM, PM, VM), the news options (UNN, UNNA, UNNF), the navigation protocols (TEL, GO, FTP, WWW), and the download protocols (KERM, XMOD, YMOD, ZMOD). All of the menu choices listed above continue to be available. Just click on the Text Menu button which appears on every Main Menu and log in to the NetSelect text menu using your username and password.
Several options have not yet been converted to allow direct web access. The Mail List options (ELST, HLST, LLST) are among the options yet to be converted. Selecting these options will connect you to NetSelect via Telnet, where you may re-enter your username and password and use the text menu to access them.
At any time, you may access the text-based menu by clicking on the Text Menu button at the bottom of any menu, or you may access it now by clicking here. Please note that you must have a Telnet client installed and configured to work with your browser to connect to the HSLC text menu via Telnet. We recommend NetTerm for the PC and NCSA Telnet for the Macintosh.
